CUZCO: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Experience the incredible beauty of the Rainbow Mountains on a guided hiking tour. You will have the opportunity to see alpacas, llamas and vicuñas while enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains during the tour. Enjoy a local lunch before returning to your accommodation in Cuzco.

Your professional guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Cuzco between 04:00 and 04:30 a.m. After a 2-hour drive, you will arrive at Cusipata, where you will stop for breakfast and to buy water and snacks for the hike.

After breakfast, you will travel 1 more hour to the trailhead at 4850m. From here, you will begin a 3.5 km hike up to Rainbow Mountain on flat and hilly terrain.

During the trek, you will enjoy amazing views and encounters with wild alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. When you reach the summit (at 5010 m), you will have free time to rest and, if the weather is good, take in the views and take photos. You will walk downhill for about an hour to the starting point. You will then take your transport to Cusipata, where a local lunch will be waiting for you. When you finish your buffet lunch, you will travel back to Cuzco, where you will arrive between 16:00 and 17:00 at the Plaza de Armas.
