TREKKING LAGUNA CERRO CASTILLO (SIB)

We will pick you up at your accommodation to start the trip to Villa Cerro Castillo, south of Coyhaique, following the Carretera Austral. From Cerro Castillo you will go to the starting point of the Cerro Castillo Lagoon Trekking, of high physical demand level. The trek will take you through the landscapes of Cerro Castillo National Park, formed by native forests, views of the Ibañez River and General Carrera Lake. Afterwards, you will arrive at the viewpoint of the lagoon with turquoise waters and Cerro Castillo in the background. There you can rest and take pictures of the landscape and glaciers, weather permitting. Then, you will start the return to complete the 7 km hike, in about 7 hours. You will take the vehicle back to Coyhaique, where the activity ends.

What to bring: Warm clothes, waterproof clothes, trekking shoes, water, snacks, sunglasses, sun block, sun hat, hat and gloves for the cold and box lunch.
